Rebecca has a wealth of experience in strategic marketing and came to This Able Veteran in 2023 from the Southern Illinois University Foundation where she served as its Director of Development Communications. Rebecca demonstrates the ability to lead diverse teams of professionals to new levels of success in higher education fundraising, software education and in the crisis management marketplace. Rebecca also possesses tactical expertise in global operations, strategic marketing, sales, and new product development. Rebecca has served as the lead for the generation of online content for websites and social media. Rebecca also served as the editor for the SIU Foundation’s Annual Report and has carried her implementation of campaign initiative messaging to This Able Veteran by producing quarterly newsletters, press releases, appeals, and email campaigns.
Rebecca comes from a family of veterans who proudly served our country overseas. Her father was a captain in the U.S. Army and flew the investigators for the Nuremburg trials to all the major Nazi concentration camps during World War II. Rebecca resides with her husband, Ed, in Carterville, Illinois where they are the parents of three wonderful children and one granddaughter. In her spare time, Rebecca is an avid lifelong tennis player and is a member of multiple book clubs.
